Let’s face it game development is hard. There are going to be plenty of times throughout the process you’ll doubt yourself, especially in the beginning. Take it slow and have fun and with a little determination you’ll make that first game!
Compared to drawing and animation the code you’re learning may be a breeze. You really can’t fake good artwork and it’s the part of my journey that terrifies me. Luckily there are resources to help set you on the right path.
As if the challenge of learning to code isn’t hard enough. Many programmers will at some point need design tools for animation, artwork, and video editing. Adobe’s Creative Cloud offers a nice toolset however there are plenty of free programs available as well.
